Course Description:

 Explore the cycles of the moon with Morningstar Mystery School. In increasingly dysregulated times where we are pulled into a thousand directions by current events, the pulse of technology and the pace of capitalism wrench us from finding our own rhythm. Together we will pull away from this frenetic pace to look upwards into the night sky to watch the magic of the moon unfold. Through a series of three zoom calls we will discuss the phase of the moon, do guided meditation and have prompts to explore our magic separately. Before each class students will receive an email with homework (journal and magical prompts) and students will be expected to join the zoom to discuss the work, and experience a meditation together.

Expected outcomes: Students will have had a space to explore their relationship with the lunar cycle and the magic of quiet building, culmination, and closing. Woven into the class will be some minor discussion of concepts that morningstar works with the triple soul, rite of unbinding, of blessing of water, magical objects, and self as well as the work of cord cutting/letting go.

Classwork will be individually emailed to students (with reading, videos and some prompts, and there will be a series of three Zoom calls (all to be held at 8 p.m. Eastern time). During these calls there will be guided meditations, which will also be recorded.

Students should have: a space to journal their observations. They should procure at least 1 white and 1 black candle. Individuals are encouraged if they do not have incense or essential oils already to find a scent that feels pleasing.

Cost: This class is free, but it is encouraged that individuals make a donation (that feels meaningful) to a social justice cause that feels important to them in this moment as a way to honor this work.
