Course Description:
In Western magic and thought, “will” is a contentious but powerful construct that evokes the power of following through on intention, and thus shape the world. When it comes to life and practice, however, it is more often that we may experience our will as divided. Parts of us war within over what we truly want, or fear what we desire, or keep us from knowing what we want at all. This workshop explores the possibility that we could reframe the will away from the idea of the singular all-powerful mage acting upon the world, and instead see witchcraft as the knowing and braiding of many conflicting wills into that which reconciles and synthesizes. We will explore the model of having “parts of self” and include experiential work to help participants befriend and bring harmony to their parts.
