New Moon in Gemini occurs Sunday, June 14th, at 7:53 p.m. PDT/10:53 p.m. EDT. Compared to the last several lunations (at least!), this one is relatively quiet, with only a sextile aspect from Saturn to the Moon, which helps with productivity. It’s a good time to get things done, especially with Mercury going retrograde on June 29. It’s also a good time to learn something new. Venus has just entered Leo, and is making sextile/trine aspects to Uranus and Neptune, respectively. This is excellent for creative projects. Venus will oppose Pluto a few days later, so try to avoid power struggles this week.

The big astrology news this week is Chiron leaving Aries and entering Taurus on Thursday, June 19. Chiron will retrograde back into Aries in September, so this summer could be a preview of Chiron’s transit through Taurus, which it re-enters on January 5, 2027. Pay attention to any issues of a Taurean nature that arise during the summer. They include the body, long-held values, and material resources. Taurus is the sign that most closely resonates with Nature, so issues related to climate change may be front and center.
